Your accommodation is 4* throughout the tour. The modern Hotel Aranyhomok offers panoramic views over one if Hungary's most beautiful Main Squares. Comfortable rooms, a pool, jacuzzi and sauna all await. There is a cocktail bar and two restaurants within the hotel but as it is so central there is also the chance to wander out into the town and discover some great local venues.

In Szilvásvárad you have a choice of hotel. The Szalajka-Liget is a 4* spa hotel with 27 rooms opened 5 years ago. Set in extensive grounds, where there are also larger accommodation apartments for families, the hotel boasts a swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms and various other spa treatments including an aroma cabin, a salt cabin and a relaxation area.

Close by in Szilvásvárad, at Csipkésút-NagymezÅ‘ is the National Stud Farm, famed for breeding of Lipizzaner horses. The Lipica stud moved here in 1952, after moving from MezÅ‘hegyes, Fogaras, Bábolna. One of world's most prestigious studs, it has 240 horses.

Or you can opt for the Contessa Castle Hotel. The history of the Castle of Szilvásvárad was determined by three noble families. In 1666 the worthy waradi manor was given to Lord Keglevich and his family as a feudal tenure. The forerunner of the castle could apparently be bound to Lord Béla Keglevich, according to the plans of Miklós Ybl. The Kegleviches occupied the castle for almost 230 years, until 1894, when it became the possession of the ErdÅ‘dy family for a short period. Later, when the castle occupation passed to the Pallavicini family, it got to be renovated according to neo-barock style. The Pallavicinies remained owners of the castle up to 1944.
