Enjoy daily rides out on Haflingers into stunning Alpine scenery throughout winter. The hotel offer lessons on warmbloods from own studs in dressage, jumping and carriage driving. The instructors are suited for every level of rider, and the skiing facilities, part of the huge Dolomiti superski area are excellent. Sleigh rides and ski jeering. Long ski season. When it's time to relax after a long day on the slopes, there's an indoor pool, spa and sauna to ease those aching muscles.

Tuscany Castle to Castle rides 26th April to 3rd May, 3rd to 10th May, 10 – 17th May, and 17th to 24th May. Best time to visit Tuscany as there are no crowds, it’s nice and warm and the Spring flowers are stunning.
Whale watching from horseback in South Africa
Late availability on this amazing week long beach ride along one of the world's most beautiful coastlines. Southern Right Whales swim within metres of the shoreline to mate and calve; a spectacular and unforgettable sight.
13 -20 December and 19 - 26 December. Special reduced price £1757 per person for 7 nights with guest house/bush camp accommodation per person with full riding intinerary and return transfers from Capetown (but not flights). The rides take place in a UNESCO protected area, one of the world's six floral kingdoms; a huge variety of wild animals, birds, scenic beauty and culture in abundance and diversity. This is a perfect winter destination since this is summertime in South Africa, with a lovely Mediterranean climate. Ideal for intermediate to advanced riders.
New holidays
We are very excited about our three brand new holidays: the castle to castle ride in Tuscany - perfect for an Autumn break when the crowds have gone - and the Big 5 Safari in South Africa which has to be the ultimate riding experience. It is unbelievable how close you can get to the wild animals on horseback. Both of these 6 day rides are reserved for very experienced riders. Our third new holiday is whale-watching from horseback along the South African coast near Capetown which is another 6 day ride but suitable for intermediate riders.

The Orthal Riding Centre, Northern Italy
Authentic Italy.Based at a small Albergo on a sunny plateau overlooking Venetian plains in Italy, the views stretch out as far as the Dolomites. It is at a thousand meters above sea level, with higher mountains all around which extend up to 2000m, making it a perfect location for winter sports' lovers. A former horse jumper in international competitions, Massimo Rigoni, runs the full or half day hacks through the surrounding upspoilt countryside. During the winter months a family downhill skiing area is available right outside the door of the hotel, which also has its own ski school and ski hire shop. Cross country ski-ing. 5* Interalpen hotel - Tyrol, Austrian Alps

Yoga courses and horse riding
Luxury award-winning spa hotel. Dressage and hacks on beautiful Lipizzaners at the Supreme Hotel in Austria's wine region. The owner was recently voted 'Spa hotelier of the year 2007'. He is also a keen breeder of Lipizzaners and is president of the European Lipizzaner society. Ashtanga yoga course with Silvia Hammerl, especially adapted to riders' needs, massages and Qi Gong with a Shaolin grand-master monk.
Huge award winning Ying Yang Spa with indoor and outdoor pools filled with natural healing thermal waters, numerous saunas some with flat-screen TV's, chill-out rooms with music or relax on giant bean bags in the 'whisper room', help yourself health bar, breakfast by the pool, no kids. The Riding Company is now supporting The Brooke - the UK's leading overseas equine welfare charity whose aim is to improve the lives of horses, donkeys and mules working in the poorest parts of the world. These animals form the backbone of the economy in many developing countries, supporting countless poor communities where many people earn less than a dollar a day.
We will be making a donation on your behalf of £2 for each booking - so your money will be helping the Brooke's mobile vet teams and community animal health workers, and their partner organisations worldwide, provide free treatment to animals and train animal owners, local healers, farriers, saddlers, feed sellers, harness and cart makers.
